Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Vallejo Residents Directory, a privately operated reference to public-record paths and local collections. By using the pages or linked tools, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the reference or its search links.

1. What This Website Is

Vallejo Residents Directory describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections connected with Vallejo and California. It hosts no government file and has no affiliation with Vallejo, Solano County, any state or federal agency, court, library, or records custodian. The reference is not a complete list of people who live or lived in a place.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use the reference and anything reached through it only for lawful purposes. You may not use it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, impersonation, or trespass
  • Make decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, reproduce, or republish pages at scale
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the service

3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Vallejo Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Nothing on these pages, and nothing returned by a linked search provider, is a consumer report. The information may not be used to evaluate eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

4. Links to Outside Sites

County portals, state services, libraries, archives, courts, and sponsored search tools maintain their own terms, fees, availability, and privacy practices. Vallejo Residents Directory does not control those services and is not responsible for their content or conduct. Follow the terms shown by the external provider.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a fact, link, fee, coverage year, portal, or search result is accurate, complete, current, or uninterrupted. Verify a record with its custodian before relying on it.

6. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource. That includes a decision made from a record or result found through the pages.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that arises from your misuse of the reference or violation of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The original text, design, logo, and layout belong to the site operator or its licensors and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed passage is permitted. Full-page republication, systematic copying, or commercial redistribution is not.

9. Changes to These Terms

The operator may revise these terms by posting a new version. Continued use after the new text appears means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Cutting Off Access

The operator may block, limit, or end access for a user who violates these terms, abuses the reference, or threatens its security. That action may be taken without advance notice where appropriate.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by California law without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act is codified at Government Code sections 7920.000-7931.000. California consumer privacy rights are addressed by the Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Those statutes govern public-record access or covered-business privacy rights; they do not make this private reference a records custodian.

12. Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Record corrections and certified-copy requests must go to the public office that holds the record.
