Privacy Policy

Vallejo Residents Directory collects little information of its own. The reference points to public rolls, court and property portals, library collections, and other sources in Vallejo and California. This policy explains what happens when a visitor uses a search box, visits a page, or contacts the operator. Government records linked from the reference remain under the control of their own custodians.

Your Direct Inputs

A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that powers the results. Vallejo Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you send a message, the operator sees the information in that message and uses it to answer or manage the correspondence.

Automatic Log Data

Hosting services may record ordinary technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. The operator may review this information in aggregate to maintain the pages and understand general use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where enabled, advertising measurement.

How the Data Is Used

Technical data helps operate the reference, diagnose errors, count traffic, and improve content. Vallejo Residents Directory does not sell visitor lists or build individual profiles from normal visits. Contact information is used for the response or site administration connected to the message.

External Portals and Links

Pages link to Solano County property, recorder, court, voter, and city services, as well as California libraries, archives, and other search tools. Once a visitor leaves this reference, the external provider's privacy policy and terms govern the submitted information. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a third party.

Who May Process Data

Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above when those tools are active. Information may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is limited to the purposes described in this policy.

Security Practices

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational needs described here. There are no user accounts on the reference, so it does not maintain a Vallejo visitor password or profile that could be exposed.

People Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information, use the Contact page to request review and deletion of information held by the operator.

California Privacy Rights

Depending on the visitor's circumstances, California's Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 and following, may provide rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-personal-information uses, and avoid retaliation. These rights generally address covered businesses. They do not require Solano County, Vallejo, a court, or another custodian to delete an accurate public record.

Because this reference keeps very little visitor data, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Requests about an assessor, Recorder, court, voter, vital, or city record must go to that custodian. California's public-records statute, Government Code sections 7920.000-7931.000, governs a separate access system and is not a deletion right for an accurate record.

Policy Changes

This policy may be revised when the service, legal requirements, or data practices change. The current text will be posted here. Continuing to use Vallejo Residents Directory after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
